I hope you are all doing well. I have some news. :)

1. "Winter" is now available at all Borders stores in the U.S.

I just experienced my first American Thanksgiving and it was delicious. I understand that tomorrow is called Black Friday (for a number of reason as I just learned on wikipedia) and it is the busiest shopping day of the year. If you are braving the stores and taking advantage of the sales tomorrow you might want to pick up a copy of my new EP "Winter" at your local Borders.

If you are scared of the ominous sounding Black Friday and choose to stay in you can also find "Winter" on itunes. Profits from the digital sales of the first track "All That We Want" will be donated to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

3. 30-Love

I am posting a message from my friend, film director, Allison Beda. Allison just got back from travelling to film festivals all over the world with a couple of her films. I am the narrator of her film 30-Love and if you are in Canada you may be able to catch it on Bravo TV.

30-LOVE stars dancers Delia Brett and Daelik (who are the dance company MachineNoisy), and recording artist Adrienne Pierce (who has had songs from her album Faultline featured on The L Word, Veronica Mars and Grey's Anantomy). 30-LOVE is directed by Allison Beda, choreographed by Claire French (Restless Dance),scored by Leo award winning composer Teresa Connors (Dog Boy, How To Be A Model), edited by Lindsay Allikas (Just A Minute) with cinematography by James Liston (ControlAltDelete).

30-LOVE was produced with the assistance of BravoFact and The BC Arts Council.

2. NAV 3

My song Reaching For Me will be on the compilation album New Arrivals

3 (NAV 3). It is the third installment in MPress Records' charity compilation

series, conceived by MPress founder and Independent Music Award winner

Rachael Sage. Volume 3 features a wealth of talent from around the globe.

NAV3 will be available in stores nationwide October 28, 2008.

100% of net proceeds from the retail sales of NAV3 will benefit

a worthy organization, National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA).

3. 30-Love

I am the narrator of 30-LOVE, a beautiful short multi media film by my friend

Allison Beda. It debuts at The Vancouver International Film Festival in October.

2) "cover me" contest:

i am extending my "cover me" contest for one more month. the fender guitar
will be awarded at the end of august. :)

3) holiday music:

i hope everyone is having and enjoying a summer holiday. i have spent much
of mine writing and recording holiday music of the winter variety. now i
am getting back to work on my next full length album. :)

this fall i will release the 6 song winter ep with four original holiday
songs and two covers. it is the first in a series of ep's (winter, spring,
summer and fall).

i won't be making any more of my 2 song christmas card ep's but there are

Greek/Download/Fall Tour

Hello!

It may be that the closest I get to being in a fraternity or sorority is having my song "Fool's Gold" in the new ABC show "Greek". Well... truth be told I did go to University and I did attend some crazy fraternity parties, but that is another story for another day! Now with the release of her sophomore album Faultline, Pierce has proved that she not only has talent but that she is a force to be reckoned with.

Faultline is a well written, beautifully played album that is intriguing from the first listen. With her soft voice and absorbing lyrics, Pierce grabs the listener and takes them on a pleasant journey from the first song all the way to the last track.

After this release it is obvious that Adrienne is destined for great things.

There is a certain elegance to everything Adrienne Pierce does. The West Vancouver native moved to Los Angeles to record her second album and the city of sun and noir provides the perfect backdrop for Faultline's romantic tales of disruption and change.

Pierce writes literate pop music and performs the material with soulful intensity leading you away from any suggestion of formula. Like the best singer/songwriters she uses personal experience to come up with something profound.

Jeff Trott (co-writer on many Sheryl Crow songs) was brought in as a producer to help steer Pierce through the studio process and mixer Thom Russo also came on board to work his magic on several tracks as well. They add a new dimension to the music without taking anything away from Pierce's sound.

Two of the songs have been heard previously (Fool's Gold aired on the Grey's Anatomy TV series and Lost and Found was on the Veronica Mars soundtrack) but they have been rerecorded to fit in with the new material. There are no weak tracks and the overall production takes Pierce's music to another level entirely.

Pierce is planning to play Austin's South by Southwest in March and go out on tour in the spring.
